As this persevering father and justice-seeking Dutch citizen drs. E.M. Groenendijk MSc. - just DaddyErik - walked towards the train-station Bussum-Zuid he saw a young woman sitting on the grass of a nearby, little parc. A big packback was standing against the tree and she was practising guitar grips, head-phone on her ears. A gave her a thumbs up and kept on walking.

After some shopping, on his way back home, GRN noticed that this lovely young woman was still there, but now lying on the ground with her head on the guitar case. 'Heb je genoeg geoefend voor vandaag?', vroeg GRN toen vriendelijk, ietsjes brutaal... en altijd nieuwsgierig - 'Did you practise enough for today?', asked GRN friendly but a bit cheeky... always curious.

She rose and took her head-phone off: 'I'm sorry, I do not understand, I only speak English.' No problem. GRN switched to English and we had a nice chat.

'Hi, where are you from? And: are you tired?'

It appeared that her name was and is; 'Ella', an American from Chicago, GRN estimates: 'in her early twenties' who was travelling around Europe.

She stayed in the Netherlands for the last three days after visiting Germany with a local friend.

GRN replied: 'that's the way to go, girl; now that you are still young and no family of your own; do go around, see something a the world, get away from family and friends! It is a good thing to be on your own and to have to rely on yourself and nobody else but yourself.

She agreed. 'It is nice to travel on your own, to be free, not having to take others wishes into account but I am always careful.' Next she was going to France and, I suppose; to the city of love - Paris etc.

GRN told her about - quite a long time ago - the exchange-programme of his former University of Amsterdam and the Montana State University where he traded places with an American student for two semesters. 'Bathing in the Yellowstone-river close to a hot spring, in the middle of the winter with snow and bisons as surrounding scenery... 'the boiling river' - fabulous and unforgettable.

During Christmas-Break we even went on a two-week tour to Baja California/ Mexico - whale watching - and afterwards went on a long tour through the West and Middle of the USA... everything is big - amazing! And yes: GRN nevertheless did study a lot, passed all his courses and even wrote his thesis in English: 'Small and medium-sized companies in the global marketplace'.

So: keep travelling smart girl and take care of yourself!

GRN told Ella a little bit about his own three daughters LJI who were kidnapped by their so-called; 'mother' - Frau S.S. - and still being kept hidden somewhere in Germany (her 'Heimat') since the end of June 2016!
